Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 24, 2026
LINIE uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the platform, to keep it secure, and — with your consent — to measure the performance of our advertising. This policy explains what is stored, why, and how to change your choice at any time.
What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow websites to remember information about your visit, such as login status, preferences, and how the platform is used.
How LINIE Uses Cookies
LINIE uses cookies and similar technologies to:
- Ensure the platform functions properly
- Maintain user sessions and account access
- Understand how users interact with the platform
- Improve usability and product functionality
- Maintain platform security and prevent misuse
- Measure the performance of our advertising, where you have consented
Types of Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the core functionality of the platform. They enable features such as user login, account authentication, and secure access to the service.
Functional Storage
The platform stores a small number of preferences in your browser’s local storage, such as your selected project, your theme, and your cookie choice itself. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
Analytics
We measure how many people visit the platform each day using our own server-side counter. It does not set a cookie and does not identify you: your IP address and browser type are combined with a secret value that changes every day and are then irreversibly hashed. Your IP address is never stored. Because the daily value changes, visits cannot be linked across days. We also use an error-monitoring service to record technical faults so we can fix them; it does not set cookies and is not used to profile visitors.
Marketing Cookies
These cookies are set only if you choose “Accept all”. They are not set if you choose “Essential only”.
We use the Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, to understand whether visits to LINIE originated from our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, to measure how those campaigns perform, and to reach comparable audiences. When it is active, the Meta Pixel loads a script from Meta, records that a page was viewed, and stores two cookies on this website:
- _fbp — identifies your browser so a visit can be attributed to a campaign. Expires after approximately 90 days.
- _fbc — records the advertisement you clicked, when you arrive from a Meta advertisement. Expires after approximately 90 days.
Information collected by the Meta Pixel, including your IP address and the pages you viewed on LINIE, is transmitted to Meta, which processes it as an independent data controller and may transfer it to the United States. We have disabled Meta’s Automatic Advanced Matching, so LINIE does not pass your email address, telephone number, or name to Meta through the pixel. We do not currently track any action beyond page views.
Meta’s own explanation of this processing is available in the Meta Privacy Policy.
The LINIE Browser Extension
The “Save to Linie” browser extension sets no cookies and contains no advertising or analytics technology. It reads information from a web page only at the moment you choose to save a product, and sends it solely to LINIE. Data collected by the extension is never shared with Meta or used for advertising.
Managing Cookies
You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. Selecting “Essential only” removes the advertising cookies described above and stops the Meta Pixel from loading.
Most web browsers also allow you to block or delete cookies through their own settings. Please note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from signing in.
Changes to This Policy
LINIE may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When updates occur, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised.
